This guide will assist you in understanding the choices available for customizing your new Vector. We want your Vector customized to your specific needs, so please familiarize yourself with the different options before you complete the order form. Make sure you fill out the order form completely before submitting it to us so that we can put your rig into production and have it ready for you as early as possible. If a choice is omitted, it will delay production time.
MAIN and RESERVE
Tell us which canopies you want to pack into your Vector. Specify line type: Dacron, Microline (Spectra) or Kevlar. Please note: We need to install a modification for CRW Pursuits and Lightning's.
SIZE
We will size your container based on your choice of canopies.
MATERIAL
We use Parapack or Cordura to manufacture your Vector container. Cordura fabric is more popular because of it's durability. Cordura has a texture like blue jeans, while Parapack has a smoother and shinier finish.
COLORS & CENTER FLAP
Refer to the Vector drawing and enter the colors you have chosen next to the corresponding numbers. It may help to color the drawing first, to get an idea of what your rig will look like. You may use one of our printed coloring sheets for this or use our 3-D coloring program that is located on our website. Please be aware that neon fabrics and tapes fade rapidly. Their color brilliance may be lost within a year. For available colors please check the latest Relative Workshop color samples. If you use other manufacturers samples please send a physical sample in with your order. We also offer split color options. Please refer to our split color option order forms. Tie-dye is available for the whole rig or just certain panels.
PIPING
This decorative trim adds accents of color. Folded trim tape is inserted and stitched in between each wedge of the center flap, A-G (2-7). Piping is optional.
LEG PAD
Choose your color. Narrow is normally suited for the smallest jumpers and is only 2.5" to 3" wide. Standard is 4.5" wide. All leg pads come standard with double padding.
HOOK KNIFE
This is an aluminum hook knife installed on the leg pad.
FREEFLY MOD
This is a length of shock cord (bungee) installed with type III loops between the two leg pads to eliminate the leg pads from sliding down your legs while sit-flying.
MONOGRAMS
We put our "Vector" Logo in script on the yoke (#7). You can choose your own color. Ring cover embroidery is an option; if you use a RWS logo there will be a $10.00 charge. You may order custom logos, contact us for the cost. Sidewall embroidery will cost $15.00 for RWS logos, and custom logos are also available at a minimum cost of $26.00 - contact us for an exact price.
MAIN DEPLOYMENT
We manufacture three types of main parachute deployment: hand deploy throw out, pull out or ripcord. You may have your hand deploy pouch at the rear of leg (ROL not available with VGH harness) or at the bottom of container (BOC). All spandex hand deploy pouches are black.
TRIM TAPE
Trim tape binds the edges of all flaps, leg pads, etc. (double lines on the Vector drawing). We have the same colors available as in materials. If you choose the same tape and fabric color, we will try to match the tape as closely as possible. Please refer to our color samples.
3D SPACER FOAM BACK PAD
You can now fly your Vector 3 in full comfort, with the introduction of the 3D Spacer Foam backpad. The difference is unbelievable – the spacer foam conforms to the jumper after several jumps, and the cut-out channel on the backpad allows for air circulation on the back. All of our test jumpers have also reported that their rigs feel incredibly stable on their backs, with far less movement with the same tension applied from their harnesses. The spacer foam also extends to the leg pads for increased comfort. The introductory price on the new 3D Spacer Foam Backpad option is $150, so speak to your customers about this now!!

MAGNETIC RISER COVERS
Introducing the latest and greatest from Relative Workshop – magnetic riser covers which have solved the problem of riser covers opening in freefall forever!! Not only does this feature provide added security in freefall, it also results in super clean openings as the tension on both riser covers is evenly distributed. An added benefit is that the riser covers close after deployment - our test jumpers really love this new design!! Please advise any customers with Pacemakers, Defibulators and Loop Devices that strong magnets are utilized in this design.

LOUIE LOOP
"The idea for the Louie loops began about 4 years ago. I wanted something that would give better results when performing front riser dives for high performance landings. These are the benefits of the end result: Instead of the end of the loop being bar-tacked behind, and at the top of the 3 point; I made sure the loop is 1” longer, and goes up and around the top of the riser, and it is bar-tacked at the top of the 3 point in front and facing down instead of up. This effectively brings the dive loop up about 2 inches. If the risers are long enough, it means you will have full arm extension. This now gives the pilot a diverse range in front riser dives, because of the extra range, you can strategically plan your dive to be longer. Now, if your dive is going to be longer, naturally this will start to tire your arm. The Louie Loop is setup for a higher reach as this allows an easier pull down and less stress on you.

LOW DRAG SWOOP RISERS
HARNESS
Harness webbing is available in various colors- please refer to our color samples. Risers will be matched to the harness, unless you specify differently.
VARIABLE GEOMETERY HARNESS (hip rings)
Our standard harness has fixed leg pads. We also produce harnesses with hip rings which some people prefer for more flexibility. This option is available in a one piece or two piece leg pad.
3-RING RELEASE & TYPE OF RISER
Type 17 is one inch wide and comes with mini rings; Type 8 is 123/32 inches wide and comes with large rings. Toggle keepers and dive loops are standard. Please specify length.
RESERVE STATIC LINE LANYARD
The Reserve Lanyard is attached to your riser and will open your reserve container after a breakaway from a partial malfunction. It has advantages and disadvantages. Please ask for our "Facts about the RSL" for more information.
TRULOK TOGGLES
This is Relative Workshop's unique design of Velcro-less toggles. Highly recommended as they help in the prevention of brake fires.
RISER HOUSINGS
The anti-twist lock riser housings are metal housings made up of the same tried and tested material as your cutaway housings. These are inserted in your risers where you stow the excess yellow cut away cable and prevent hard cutaways from severe line twists. These are a no charge option.
STAINLESS STEEL
Rust proof. This is recommended in areas that have a highly corrosive environment. This is now standard on all Vector 3's.
RESERVE RIPCORD HANDLE
The standard handle shipped with all rigs is a metal "D" handle. We can also supply low profile "D" handles which are a smaller version. We also have a soft handle as an option, this handle looks like a cut away handle but it does have a metal insert, which makes it very easy to operate and grip.
CUTAWAY HANDLE
Consider a color that will stand out from your equipment.
CENTERLINE PILOT CHUTE
Centerline pilot chutes are now a free option on Vector 3 Micron and M-Series containers - you can select either F111 27" (white only) or ZP 27" (black only). We also provide 33" F111 non-collapsible pilot chutes if required.
You may have an orange plastic handle (no charge), a two-color leather handle (hackey sack), a two-color monkey fist or freefly pud on your pilot chute for an additional charge.
The handle for a Pull Out is made from the same material as the container.
AAD SET UP
Every Vector is set up for the automatic activation device (AAD) Cypres or Vigil. If you check the box for an AAD, the rig will come with a AAD reserve loop installed as well. If you choose to have a FXC or a Sentinel installed in your Vector, the set up will be at no charge, if you purchase the AAD through Relative Workshop.
